Vecco International, a technology leader in value chain visibility, planning, and response management solutions, has been named in Gartner’s March 31, 2015 report, “Cool Vendors in Supply Chain Planning, 2015.”  Vecco officials believe the company’s inclusion in the report confirms the value of its leading-edge technology and ability to rapidly configure customized applications, making Vecco the logical solution for small and mid-sized organizations (SMBs) looking for technology that helps to converge planning and execution. Gartner’s new supply chain planning report highlights the market demand for both real-time visibility and collaborative planning across the full spectrum of the value chain. The report, from Gartner analysts Amber Salley, Tim Payne and Bart De Muynck, says today’s firms face four key supply chain challenges.  “Supply chain leaders are struggling to respond quickly to sudden changes in demand, so they must focus on tools that help them converge planning and execution activities,” the analysts write.  “Continuing pressure on supply chain organizations to cut costs and enable growth is creating the need to develop financially optimized demand and supply plans,” they add. “We are honored to be named one of Gartner’s five Cool Supply Chain Vendors for 2015,” said Jonathan Kall, Vecco’s founder. “We believe the report confirms Vecco’s worth to emerging firms that need the kind of capabilities previously only available to much larger companies, at a fraction of the price.  This allows them to compete more aggressively and rapidly in the global marketplace,” Kall said.
